Thank you so much for joining my author mailing list. It seemed only polite to send a few words about myself, in return.
When I’m not escaping somewhere else in my imagination, I live in the north east of England, a few miles from the stunning Northumberland coastline and the famous Alnwick Castle, last seen in Downton Abbey and the Harry Potter movies. Winter has reached us this week. No snow, as yet but it’s very cold and wet – the perfect excuse for curling up with a good book. Unless like most of us, you have to go to work. A bit of a necessary pain if you like to eat!
I’ve been married to Michael, an artist and fellow creative spirit, for more years than we’re brave enough to count. We have one daughter and a beautiful new baby granddaughter, which makes us sound very grown-up. How did that happen? I still think I’m nineteen.
I’ve always written, usually when I’m meant to be doing something else. I’m that woman talking to herself on the bus, scribbling ideas on scraps of paper with a purple pen. So far, I’ve published two steamy romance novels – ANOTHER SUMMER and HIGH HOPES. I also have a bittersweet short story – PAINTING RAINBOWS. Not long now to Christmas. It’ll be very different for us this year, less of a food and drink-fest and much more of a traditional family occasion with the cutest baby ever to play with.
